M.E.S. International School, Pattambi was established in 1978 with a view to provide formal education to those who were deprived of it. The school is sponsored by the Muslim Educational Society (Regd.) Calicut and is managed by the local unit of the above organisation. The school is situated in a 4 acre plot in a quiet and serene atmosphere, about 400 metres west of Pattambi Railway Station and the Bus Stand. The school had its humble beginning in 1978 with the KG classes being conducted in a thatched shed.

The school is affiliated to CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) Delhi with affiliation No. 930072 and School No. 06584. The school is one of the major CBSE Examination Centre in the Palakkad District wherein about 10 different CBSE schools candidates are enrolled to write the AISSE/AISSCE exam every year.
This is the First school among MES group to secure ISO Certification which was received in the presence of His Excellency, then Governor of Nagaland, Mr. K. Sankaranarayanan on 10th September 2007 and the First School in Kerala with the Fully Digitalized SMART Classrooms from Montessori to class XII which was inaugurated by the Chief Minister, Mr. Oommen Chandy on 18th February, 2005 in the presence of Jb. E. T. Mohammed Basheer, then Education Minister and Shri. C.P. Mohammed, M.L.A. Pattambi. Not only that, our school was declared and certified as a Minority Educational Institution by the Government of India via File No. 30 dated August 17, 2007.

M.E.S. School, Pattambi has been at the top most position in the M.E.S. State Arts & Cultural Fest and Sports Meet for the past years and we have been working hard to maintain it. Our students have also shown their talent and ability in the CBSE cultural & Sports Meet. In the year 2011 (November 10 to 13) we had the privilege of hosting the 17th Kerala State CBSE Youth Festival 2011-12 and we received the award for Excellence in Conducting the CBSE Fest 2011-12 from Dr. Daggubati Purandeswari, Minister of State for Human Resource Development (Higher Education), Government of India. In the year 2012 we received the First National School Sanitation Award from Dr. M M Pallam Raju, Union Minister of Human Resource Development in the presence of Shri K. Srikkanth, Former Captain of the Indian Cricket Team & the Event Brand Ambassador,Shri R. Bhattacharya , Secretary, School Education & Literacy MHRD and Mr. Stephan Helming, Country Director, GIZ.
